Melbourne Cup 2014

IMG_1287Guests at Pourboy’s Melbourne Cup lunch saddled up for what proved to be a cracking ride (if we do say so ourselves).

This year’s Cup was the first time Pourboy has been host to an event and also the first time our customers have been able to enjoy their choice of alcoholic beverage with their lunch.

Guests were treated to a scrumptious three course banquet menu (thank you Chef Lee) that comprised: Chicken Caesar Salad & Salmon adn Roe Canapés as starters; Antipasto Platters as entree; Glazed

Berkshire Ham, Free Range Chicken, Queensland King Prawns, an Heirloom Tomato and Mozzarella Salad and Potato and Jamon Salad for main course; and beautiful cheeses from France and the Sunshine Coast, with bread

from Sprout Artisan Bakery finished off the food (but not the fun) for the afternoon. The race was broadcast on the big screen with sweeps run and prizes won.

We loved hosting our guests and doing something a little bit special for this iconic Australian event.

We can’t wait to do it all again next year – make sure you don’t miss out! #giddyup

Market Day with Sprout Artisan Bakery

This Friday Sprout Artisan Bakery will be popping up in Pourboy with a market stall. A range of their delicious organic breads will be available to buy for the weekend.  Sprout source their ingredients locally and organically and now set the benchmark for breads and pastries in Brisbane.

They will be in-store from 7 am this Friday so get in before they run out.
